Our journey of faith and community

Stephen Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church was organized on September 11, 1950, under the leadership of Rev. Oscar Stephens. Built on faith, sacrifice, and prayer, the church was established by dedicated leaders committed to serving God and His people. From its early beginnings, including the organization of Sunday School by Mother Marie Madden, to its dedication in 1953, Stephen Temple has continued to grow and thrive through God’s grace. Through seasons of challenge and triumph, the church has remained steadfast, experiencing both spiritual and financial blessings. With faithful leadership and a committed congregation, Stephen Temple has moved forward in purpose, trusting God every step of the way. What began in hardship has become a powerful testimony of hope, proving that God hears and answers prayer. We give all glory to God for how far He has brought us, and we stand firm in knowing that He is not finished with us yet.
